I have so many plans to foster community and connection in this space. I’m hoping that becomes its real USP - a space for us all to gather, share our work, problem-solve together, market each others’ writing… and just generally have a good time.
I'll add that discovering a community like this on Substack feels like a godsend, especially since so much of our research and work in "recovering history" is done in dusty stacks of books, rather than in a public "stack" like this. I really look forward to seeing engagement grow and interacting with others researching and writing history--whether in fiction or nonfiction (I do both!)
