2024 has been a big year for the Society of History Writers.
Established in September, we’ve since featured six guest writers with fiction and non-fiction pieces, each uniquely highlighting the past.
I’ve linked each piece individually at the end of this post, if you want to click through to read.
I have also, however, combined them into the first of our quarterly journals, a downloadable PDF for you to read like a traditional society magazine. This will be a subscriber benefit going forward in 2025, along with thrice-monthly guest articles and a whole host of other community features, so do make sure to subscribe to avoid missing out.
Incidentally, my personal Substack newsletter,
, formerly Telling Their Tales will also have a quarterly journal in 2025, with exclusive guest articles, book reviews, and community news. Make sure to subscribe there if medieval history is your thing.Get your copy of the 2024 journal here!
