🎄✨ Merry Christmas one and all! ✨🎄
If your home is anything like mine today, busy will be the overriding theme.
Between church, organizing family visits, cooking the dinner, and keeping my 18-month-old suitably excited and away from overtired, tensions are finely balanced here in my small corner of rural South Yorkshire.
I won’t keep you for long (I see you, sneaking onto Substack for five minutes’ peace; but it’s ok, because I’m doing the same in all likelihood).
You’ll find below post a link to a PDF roundup of the Medieval Treasures Advent Calendar I’ve been sharing on Notes this past month, plus images of the PDF at the end of this post.
If you’re not on Notes, come join us! It’s free to download the app and there’s a huge community there of creatives (readers and writers).
It’s also on the app that you can join our regular chats, where we support one another in our history writing endeavours, both on and off the platform.
2025 promises to be huge for the Society of History Writers, in which we get down to the nuts and bolts of what it means to write history and historical fiction whilst showcasing the writing of our members. We’ll be unapologetically indulging in our passion for the past, and I can’t wait to learn and chat with you!
If this feels like a space that will bring you joy in 2025, make sure you’re subscribed!
Feliz Navidad, Holly!
